Colder'n a...

well... somethign anyway.

I have this sort of weird geeky metric. Since I have a car with a diesel engine (Golf TDI. bout 48mpg), it needs to have a pre-heater turned on in cold weather. This is shown by a little light on the dash that basically says, after you turn the key "Hang on a second, its so GODDAMNED COLD out, I need to warm up certain bits o me before i can start.)

Now, normally, this little light goes on for perhaps 4-5 seconds on a cold day.

This morning it was on for -15- seconds. I pictured this frozen popsicle in the car, staring at a dashboard thats saying, basically, "Its okay to start the engine now!"

Current temp outside: a smidge above 0. That's farenheit, btw.
Wind is WSW at at 16mph

That makes the windchill: -13degrees.

Ah LUV Boston!
