Neat geek day.
Nov. 2nd, 2003 05:07 pmI spent about 2 hours today finally redoing the radio installation in my car, finally. My old 2meter ICOM radio had finally bought the farm (it was circa 1975, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did), and I picked up a Yaesu Ft-2600 on ebay for about $100. This is a nice radio, though a bit bigger than the ICOM, but has a better display and functions on it.
There's not a lot of room on the inside of my car (this is a 2003 VW Golf TDI), so I've mounted posts on the dash to hold the GPS and the radios.
