Sep. 16th, 2009 10:34 pmFolks probably know I moved into the Operations group in my company about 5 months ago. My job satisfaction has gone up dramatically since then, and now we're looking to expand our group!
We're looking for senior Linux / systems gurus who like working on a varied environment primarily based around Linux, MySQL, and perl + java applications. We are a high availability setup, servicing millions of requests a day. Most of our work involves keeping all the infrastructure happy, deploying new builds, systems, and environments, and managing the 160+ servers we have in production.
We are primarily a Redhat Linux shop, with a smattering of Solaris machines. We're constnatly rolling out new systems and technologies, we're not running on a shoestring. If we have a need that requires an investment in high end hardware, we do so (we have 3 full Netapp filers managing several hundred terabytes of data, and those puppies ain't cheap)
This is a full time job, salaries, and onsite in Littleton, MA. We are commuter-railable (the station is about a mile from the office), though driving is probably better.
