Okay Mac Weenies - DVD burning software?

penkI've had it up to here with iDVD. I'm sorely disappointed at how poor it is at dealing with taking one .AVI file, putting a skin on it, and making a playable DVD from it. I have successfully done this ONCE.
There must be better DVD mastering software out there. I'm even willing to go commercial.
Suggestions?
