Okay Mac Weenies - DVD burning software?

I've had it up to here with iDVD. I'm sorely disappointed at how poor it is at dealing with taking one .AVI file, putting a skin on it, and making a playable DVD from it. I have successfully done this ONCE.

There must be better DVD mastering software out there. I'm even willing to go commercial.

Suggestions?

Good news! You don't need any special software whatsoever. CD / DVD burning facilities are built into OSX.

Er. You should try using iDVD then you'd know what I was looking for.

I'm not just making data discs. I'm trying to master DVD's (ala playable in a DVD player)

Missed that bit. I don't own a TV or a DVD player aside from my computer, so I consider a DVD with an .AVI file on it to be "a playable DVD".

In that case, I don't have experience with your specific problem, sorry.
