I'm not sure there's an "It's all good" option on your list :-}.

When I hosted a Thanksgiving dinner 5-ish years ago, I decided to try making cranberry sauce, which I had never done before. I bought a bag and followed the very basic instructions on the back. It took, I dunno, ten minutes? Really, one of the easiest ever things to make and amazingly yummy.

At dinner, people went *nuts* over it. Many of them had never had whole-berry sauce before and therefore seemed to assume that creating it must be a long and laborious process, because if it wasn't, why would anyone use a can?

I certainly didn't know how simple it was until I made it and I do wonder how many others remain in the dark.

If I'm having cranberry sauce, then yeah, made from scratch is the only way to go. It's kind of nice, and really surprisingly easy.

But somehow, even so, it's not a required part of the meal for me. I dunno why.

I eat very little of it, but whole cran fruit sauce os a must on the table for me, as well as cran orange raw relish. Also, there is a good muffin/quick bread recipe using leftover sauce or relish if, like us, it's more about tradition than need

Needs checkboxes rather than radio buttons. I make a cranberry-orange relish and also have a cylinder with can marks. Everybody's happy. =)

But I love cranberries!

However, I think I like option #1 and #2 equally. Or rather, I think of them as different creatures, neither of which replaces the other.

*snort* There are others who need the "I am Cos" button on this poll, though! ;)

I don't actually like cranberry sauce, but like all things it is better homemade than out of a can.

I checked off real cranberry bits, but I also like the canned cylinder. Could there be both?

Really it shouldn't be sauce at all, it should be relish.

I have made cranberry sauce and it is/was delish. But I also like tradition, and my family tradition states that cranberry sauce if cylindrical, sliceable, and comes from a can, and all else is heresy. So, yeah; radio buttons for the win.

I'm not big on cranberries, but I made this sauce (http://www.newson6.com/Global/story.asp?S=11538424) for T-giving this year, and it's pretty freakin' amazing.

From a can. With RIDGES, the way God intended.

Anything else (including having no cranberry-thing) is a Mortal Sin, by gum.

[Of course, guess what is *not* planned for tomorrow. :< ]
