This is the first year I've ever made costumes from scratch - let alone the same costume for both Zach and myself. I'm proud of how they came out, and ecstatic at how Zach looks in his... this'll hopefully be a costume we can use for many conventions and other gatherings.

But holy cow what a lot of work.

I did indeed. The only thing I didn't do was the actual sewing machine work - I did the cutting, sizing, and setup, as well as materials purchase and assembly. I did however do all the leatherwork for the belts and made Zach's lightsaber (here it is in the workshop: http://yfrog.com/n0nszjfj ) - I'll do some better pic of it at some point.

First time I've -really- made a costume, and a recreation at that. I'll definitely have it at arisia.

Only thing missing is brown calv-high riding boots. That's the last bit needed :)
