I'd like to rebuild my porch furniture for the upcoming spring (YES! SPRING WILL BE HERE, I KNOW IT WILL, DAMMIT!). I'm looking to build 3-4 Adirondack chairs, preferably out of reclaimed or recycled wood.

A rough guess at amounts would probably be 25' of 6" boards per chair. Pine would likely be the best choice, but I'll take anything I can get. (Of course, cedar would be best, but I'm not holding my breath :)

Any good sources?

Pine may not be the best choice, as it will need pretty heavy finishing to stand up to the elements. For unfinished outdoor furniture, you want redwood or cedar. 5/4 decking offcut may be available for cheap from a flooring contractor; I've no idea.

Or you can always use old skis..
