Here in the DC area, we have ice on the roads (and in my driveway) but I'm going in when the temp goes above freezing, which will likely be after noon if I can get the Prius out of the driveway.
catya made the wikked smaht choice of putting snowtires on the prius early in the winter. It's helped e-normously. My van has AWD, so I get around fine (though I got new tires in the fall too).
Ah, but you see, I'm in Great Falls on a private road that isn't plowed, opening onto Georgetown Pike with limited visibility and no light to get out. Plus my driveway is a pretty severe slope. So if I can make it ONTO Georgetown Pike I'm golden. Until then...heh...shall wait for the temp to go up just that little bit more.
